Promotional company matters, it’s literally the career deference between Canelo and golovkin. Oscar got him fights and sold them in a way they didn’t seem like what they really were, guaranteed wins. Oscar also ate a 20 million dollar personal loss because Canelo never disclosed he had a promotional contract already but nah. Let’s trash Oscar, becuase Canelo told you too. He can’t possibly be full of shhh like has been now for years, lying out both sides of his mouth. This dude was treated like the face of boxing before he had done a single thing to warrant it past getting best pillar to post by Floyd why? Oscar did that. So yeah, please old wise one tell me would Canelo have had the same career without Oscar’s star power? Anything other than a no is a bold faced lie.
Why not tag you? Because it’s you and dozens of others. You can’t own the “ungrateful” moniker. Canelo isn’t the only one who has had issue with Oscar. His own business partners, other promoters, present and prior stables. Canelo was bound to be star power beyond Oscar anyway. He’s a successful Mexican boxer. One of the most popular since Chavez Sr. Mexicans were looking for the next Chavez Sr that would traverse into the American public and found it within Canelo. The media had more to do with this than anything Oscar did. During his time with Oscar no one wanted anything to do with Oscar. Canelo could have landed with any Promoter and excelled. Once Canelo figured out what the rest of any associate of Oscar had he was gone. Why do you think Oscar was so willing to release him? He knew he’d lose his a s s in any court case when discovery hit the pretrial.

Man, I was enjoying that so much..

I was just waiting Oscar to say: Canelo, at the end of the day I had to pay judges for you against GGG, twice. Lol.

All this thing is so funny..

Oscar created a super star and now he wants that super star, that became bigger than him, to respect him, lol.

Too late Oscar, Canelo is out of control now and you created him with gifted scorecards.

Canelo doesn`t even care to speak English, lol.

Hey Canelo the only reason you are up on stage with the guy you hate so much is because you refused to fight Benavidez. Cope.

                No im not saying that.

I’m saying that without the fighters, there is no money.

Where do you think the money comes from? The promoters own pocket?

The promoters invest their money, from a budget usually, into a fighter in which their are paid to do a job for them (promote the fight)

The fighter does not work for the promoter.

                  That analogy makes no sense.

They are employees. Fighters are not employed by promoters.

                      They are though.

It's why, in the overwhelming majority of cases, we say a fighter fights 'under' a certain promotional banner.
