Im a Benevidez fan for sure. A lot more than a Canelo fan, but I dont care if he has stopped fighting the killers. The same way but even more the way I feel about Crawford not fighting Boots. Canelo has earned the right to retire on his terms after what he's done to promote boxing. He's old but he's a legend. I dont need to see the old lion lose to the new. Id rather see him walk off with his pride. As fans we know he's not the top of the food chain anymore. Just enjoy until the glimpses of what was.
At the same time in my mind I know Benevidez and Boots and Morrell are better just like you do. It's cool.

If he is holding the division hostage, he's a piece of crap, you never earn the right to hold down younger fighters coming up, he can fight jake paul for all we care, just vacate and let others make a living, the only reason he is in this position is that other fighters with name gave him the opportunity, opportunity that he is negating to the likes of benavidez and Morrell jr, the right thing to do is vacated the belts and just do whatever he wants, he is as corrupt as the organizations that he is representing.

watch Canelo's debut professional fight on YouTube - the fans were literally shouting "Canelo, Canelo, Canelo". Baring in mind this was a guy who had no amateur fights so they would've had no way of really knowing who he was yet they were already aligning themselves with him. There is literally no other reason for that other than him having red hair. To be sculpted into the face of boxing largely because of your hair colour is a disappointing low for the sport.

Clearly canelo is more than just his hair
