I'm really tired of hearing about the weight. You took the fight and you lost, end of story. Haney is usually several pounds heavier than his opponents on fight night. It meant absolutely nothing in relation to the outcome. You can slam Ryan all you want about not making weight, and rightfully so. But, it had no bearing on the outcome of the fight.

Actually they were terrorizing Teo Sr., trying to make the fight happen! Teo didn't want it! Now with both of them coming off bad performances, I don't see fans wanting to see it! Teo vs. Ryan at a catch-weight makes way more sense (cents)!

That's what I said! I'm glad somebody else agrees, well I got likes on it it's just I'm coming from martial arts understanding. I would never tell somebody to duck a ridge hand for example... Or a high kick coming from a round house... You just always better off changing the distance with either one part of your body, like moving your head in a direction, or shifting the weight of your whole body.

Besides if I know you're going to duck my hook won't I catch you with a really bad uppercut? Unless you're keeping your eyes on me 100% I'm going in there coming up into the space your head is about to occupy!

They can't say it out loud but they don't give a sh-it.

Devin has gone on record saying he's just here to get paid.

He just made 35 million dollars - Canelo/Mayweather kinda money - and got to keep his belt.

Haney doesn't have a fanbase and he really only became watchable since the Lomachenko fight. This is bananas money for someone like him to be making.

That's been my thing. I was hoping to see someone wipe out Haney so we didn't have to hear about him anymore. Then comes along Ryan overweight to beat Haney, but not make him irrelevant anymore since he still has his damn belt. We need to continue to hear from him and his whackadoo father until someone comes along and actually snatches the belt. Meanwhile, Ryan has the win that has an asterisk against it (no matter if it wouldn't have changed the results had he made weight), is still not a champion and we need to put up with Devin for awhile longer.

It's crazy how much the dude is banking and will continue to bank despite not really being a marketable fighter, boring to watch and should have technically lost his damn belt.

His health and mental outlook is on the line now that he lost the way he did. I did this for a number of years and seen it all, I’m not just talking dammm that money., you got beat the hell up and can’t fight again for some time now and you’ll be on the rebound and can’t go into a mega fight, now go figure!
If he got 30m from this fight, then no. He did not lose more by losing this fight. Those type of paydays don’t come around for a fighter with as low a profile as Haney. He sold 50k last time out for Christs sake.

he lost. His career isn’t over. He can bounce back. Plenty of fighters have taken Ls and come back to make major bread. Maidana. Canelo. Ryan Garcia. You take the money that’s in front of you.

fighters fight once or twice a year. He isn’t missing out on anything. His record took an L. If he’s the man he claims to be a loss won’t define him or break him. He would have been a DAMN FOOL to skip out on the fight over 3 lbs.
