Tank isn’t very active in the ring, he throws very little. That favors Mayweather. Tank would play right into Mayweather’s style for an easy points decision by Mayweather. Tank is at his best with fighters coming to him aggressively and trading with him. He punches with them and catches them. Mayweather wouldn’t do that.

A younger Floyd would likely try to engage and punish Gervonta as he was more willing to take risks, he was more well rounded with impressive punching power before opting to primarily win by outboxing and points.

Still even then he took calculated risks when he decided to engage at close range and was attentive to whatever came his way, difficult to see Davis catching him like Zab Judah and Shane Mosley have done in the past considering he is at a major reach disadvantage compared to them.

To be fair neither one was in their prime in 2015. They were the best welterweights at the time, and still top 5 P4P, but that’s just because they’re that great. But they were both past prime. After their fight, Mayweather fought one more boxer, while Pacquiao fought 7 more boxers and beat a bunch of younger guys like Keith Thurman, Jessie Vargas, Tim Bradley, Lucas Matthysse, Adrian Broner, and I thought he beat Jeff Horn. So I would say both were past prime but Pacquiao was the fresher fighter of the two. I think Mayweather was more past his prime.

Pacquiao, Cotto, Canelo, Maidana, Guerrero all fought a past prime Mayweather.

Prime Pernell, Duran, Chavez, even Oscar could beat him at either weight. He swerved his career away from Stevie Johnston for good reason. Those guys are levels above Corrales, the best guy Floyd beat at lw, and if the c fighter's c fighter Corley can tag him good and him buckle at 140, I'd give Davis a shot at doing same being that Floyd got hit more at the lighter weights unless Floyd plans on spoiling the fight by turning into the running man.

Chavez is slow and he starts slow. He traditionally gave away the first 2 to 3 rounds. Pernell and Duran could each give Floyd problems for different reasons. However I don’t think Oscar has the arsenal to beat Floyd. He’s primarily a one handed fighter and Floyd would be able to avoid that left.
