He has held multiple world championships in three weight classes, from super featherweight to light welterweight, including the World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight title since 2019. He has wins over Jose Pedraza (22-0), Hector Luis Garcia (16-0), Leo Santa Cruz (37-1-1), Isaac Cruz (22-1-1), Rolando Romero (14-0), Mario Barrios (26-0) and Ryan Garcia (23-0).
