Tszyu vs Ortiz both are big punchers so a KO is likely.

Ortiz should’ve taken a better warm up. He, like pretty much every commentator on here, is looking at the Fundora fight and massively underrating Tszyu. Not many if any people at 154 could’ve continued against Fundora trying to look through a wall of blood. Go have a better look at the Harrison or Mendoza fights. Had it not been for the cut Fundora would’ve been stopped and stopped early.
I don’t think Ortiz will last to see the latter half of the fight. I see it very much like Canelo vs Bivol. I don’t think Ortiz yet knows quite what it’s like to be in the ring with an elite 154, but he’ll find out. What did he do at 147 when he was actually healthy to fight? who did he beat? what’s he shown against a bigger genuine puncher? I can see Tszyu is way better skill wise and deceptive with his attacks. I don’t think Ortiz’s power will remotely phase him just like Canelo’s didn’t trouble Bivol. I expect Tszyu to take away that jab with reasonable ease and I expect Ortiz to have very little to fall back on and don’t believe he has the skill to fight off the back foot. His style is entirely reliant on pressuring the other guy. What happens when he meets someone bigger and stronger with better skills? He’s shown us nothing else in his career so far and has always seemed pretty one dimensional to me. Only the US hype him.
Then you have the 2 bosses in town Mell and Budd.
Fundora only managed to get a SD despite having Tszyu half blind for the whole fight.
Fundy would get stopped by Timmy in a rematch. He knows that and will cash out his belts vs Budd and so will never rematch Timmy as he will probably end up the Budd fight on a stretcher.

Like they say, its better to close your mouth and be thought of as a fool than to open it and remove all doubts. To call Ortiz a ducker despite what we 've seen is the height of foolery. Ortiz like Tsyzu have shown they want that smoke early while same contenders on their level do the call out and go on to fight the C/D level comps but those two back up their calls with action. Crawford told Ortiz to fight Mean Machine and then they can talk, Ortiz did just that. Seeing what Crawford is doing with Ennis, am not sure you can blame Ortiz for that fight not made. He then goes on to line up Stanionis before his health failed him and now he's going into Tsyzu, I mean that is pure gangster right there.
Tsyzu is the same way, risking his mandatory status to fight dangerous fights while Charlo was clearly ducking him (way before Canelo came calling) so to denigrate any of those two just shows you are fanboy rather than a boxing fan who harbor biases against certain type of fighters. Those two should be commended, encouraged and compensated abundantly 'cos these are career threatening fights and they are willingly embracing it for our entertainment. You are pretty weak if you can't appreciate these throwback fighters.CPNUTKnockoutFreshMart likes this.

Ortiz had said something incredibly ****** in his post fight interview. "I don't select the opponents.". You're not obligated to say no to the opponent offered to you. As a matter of fact, that's him contradicting himself to what I'm about to explain. Mannix had said Ortiz was training for the Dulorme fight and his dad told him we got an offer to fight Tim Tsyu and it was a take it or leave it offer and immediately Ortiz said yes which would mean in this case he does select his opponents. He and his dad made a rash decision on taking on the Tsyu fight. I understand Ortiz's confidence with him feeling his power having that perfect KO ratio but this is a new weight class he hasn't been tested on especially not getting any rounds and the long inactivity of being out of the ring. To add to that, when this fight with Dulorme was announced originally it was to be at 154 pounds. He did not make that weight and so GB decided to make it a catchweight at the last minute because Ortiz still struggling with making weight. That's not a good sign when you're still months away from the Tsyu fight. Ortiz made an impulsive decision in taking on the Tsyu fight. We and even he doesn't know for sure he will be able to make 154 come August 3rd and if he doesn't and they try to pull that catchweight garbage again, I hope Tsyu says no because if Tsyu comes in professionally in making the weight limit while Ortiz doesn't is unfair and only will make Ortiz come off as a weight bully. Ortiz should be at 160. That's his natural weight.
