Israel Vazquez – A Hero Returns, But For How Long?

Pretty sad watching Vasquez go life and death with a guy who had lost 6 in a row and is a career Fly weight.

I would rather see Vasquez retire considering his eye problems and his never ending wars can't be good for the brain.

The part of the article that stood out was when talking about Izzy's battered face at the end of the fight. I was trying to watch both the Juanma and Izzy fight at the same time (I know, impossible) but payed way more attention to the Latin Fury match. But seeing Izzy's appearance at the end, you would have thought he was in the middle of Vazquez / Marquez IV... against a journeyman.

Israel Vazquez deserves all the props in the world. He's a fan favorite for a reason. If the same thing happens the next fight, though, I hope he seriously considers retiring. (I just keep thinking about his eye getting destroyed. That would be tragic.)
