Another reminder of why death threats in the lead up to fights are a disgrace

      Fook. RIP.

TCL seemed like they sh^t the bed bad with this situation. Ndembo was in the ring for like 10mins before they started to get him on a stetcher & to an ambulance. It appeared to me as if he had a seizure shortly after he was KO'd.

The commentators were so clueless they were talking about his replacement in the later rds since he was scheduled to fight again.

Boxing is certainly the most dangerous of all combat sports, RIP Ndembo

Just noticed Haney donated $1500 on the justgiving page. Hope other top earning pros follow suit with that.

Really needs to be some sort of retirement/death in service fund that athletes pay into on the off chance something like this happens.

                How is there not? Astonishing.

I remember it was an off-hand plot point on the boxing drama, Lights Out, that ran on FX back in 2011 for one season.

I've heard US YT channels saying this poor guy was KO'd twice in sparring during the last month. The damage that guys, especially HWs, can take in sparring is an overlooked danger.

                  RIP Ardi

A tragedy, so sorry for his family.

We tend to forget that while we're cheering and also criticising fighters, that they literally put their health and lives on the line each time.

We were entertained by the recent Haney-Garcia fight, but then one thinks, man, the one guy took some bad punishment.
