So if Spence owes James 2.5 million, what's with suing him for double? I could see suing for interest, but this punitive charge? And if it was a verbal agreement, can James prove it? If so, Spence could just say he has a drinking problem and was drunk when he said it.

He claims Spence still owes him some for the Garcia fight not paid what was owed . If a trainer is smart they would receive a guaranteed amount before any training and then a percentage of the fight in writing afterwards to clear up any nonsense . It’s up to the trainer to get what he wants nit the fighter , I remember Manny Steward wanted a percentage from Holyfield after he defeated Bowe and Holyfield got another trainer and most likely changed history there hooking up with Lewis eventually . Fighters are stingy they really hurt themselves all the time more then not ,I get it there’s other guys they have to pay but a trainer is the most important thing if it’s going well .

Other trainers see this stuff to it’s not good business either way , Spence doesn’t owe anybody based on anything verbal so the next trainer better have that contract ready .

Danny or Mikey? They were respectively 3-4 years ago. Why wait so long? That's what I'm talking about, put that promise in writing! Verbal agreements are hard to prove.

Your comment isn't logical at all. Regardless of how bad Errol looked that night, if Errol had a contractual obligation then he must honor it... PERIOD.

You or no one else would except 350k, if you were contractually owed 2.5M

It's completely logical. James got paid what was agreed. If he hadn't so embarrassingly failed his fighter maybe he'd of got paid more. To be asking for more money now is shameless
