Haney and his pops should have stayed with Arum, Top Rank protects their top dogs. The problem is they got butt hurt when Arum told media he thought Lomachenko won.

Arum was only saying that so he didnt look bias that he fixed it in favor of Haney, but they protected him and gave him the decision over Loma

if Haney was still with Top Rank he would probably be undefeated getting some gift decisions over Teofimo and Jose Ramirez, or Josh taylor

Bob would have made him rematch Loma or fight Shakur... Not sure that's better for him.

Team Haney has been about taking good $ & good opportunities not being "protected". Team Haney wouldn't have done half of what they have done or made half the money they've made if they took the "protect the 0" approach.

This game from the boxer POV should be about making the most money you can while fighting the best fights you can & I think Team Haney has a high score & certainly above avg attempting that. Sure they sh^t the bed Saturday having no answers for Ryan's left hook, but coming up short is gonna happen sooner or later to almost everyone at this level.

Optimal $ & opportunities beats the hell out of keeping your 0.

Shakur is weaker version of Haney

Protected from who? He got all the accolades in the world when he beat Prograis in a Matchroom card. How is that a mistake?

Protected from Ryan Garcia? They've been pursuing Garcia since time immemorial. Besides, Eddie Hearn is like a long-lost relative to the Haneys. They couldn't wait to go back working with the DAZN promoter.

          Senseless thread.

You’re probably right, look at Shakur and his boring resume. He’s being brought up at a snail’s pace.

Could have been worse if he stayed with Top Rank.

Bob Arum would have given him Jamaine Ortiz, Sandor Martin, Campa, Commey, Nakatani. Those are not walk in the park stay-busy fights.
