Rofl, Cotto should just make his walk to the ring with Tchaikovsky's the Nutcracker playing.

Who does Roach think he is? He should worry about his fighter's work, that is his job and let the ref do his. Lol at him thinking the rules should be changed just for Pac. Its at the refs discretion whether someone should be DQ'd or not.

It's not like coward gayweather asking JMM to jump to weight divisions then proceeds to CHEAT by coming in overweight.

In this case fair is fair. Not gayweather-like pussiness.

If you're the coach, I'll slap your FACE right now. Honestly how can you ignore someone using low blows to change the momentum

Things like this will happen its a fight. Should we DQ Hopkins everytime he clenches?....its ok to bend the rules a little and you take a risk when you do it. If you get away with it, then it was a smart move. If not then you risk getting points deducted or DQ'd, but this isn't checkers its boxing 2 men in an ass kicking contest trying to win.

Puerto Rican Cotto was docked a point for low blows in his successful defence against Zab Judah in 2007, but maintained the blows had been accidental.

"Cotto stops his opponents' momentum with that kind of blow," American Roach told Monday's Philippine Daily Inquirer.

"In that Judah fight he had five low blows."

Roach said he would raise the issue at a rules meeting before the November 14 showdown in Las Vegas.

The highly anticipated bout pits Pacquiao, widely regarded the world's best pound-for-pound fighter, against Cotto, who retained his WBO title in June with a split decision over Ghana's Joshua Clottey.

Atleast Freddie notice this one early... This may be the big difference in the fight.

Cotto should just fight Golota style then. He's guaranteed to win

I can underdstand Roach's concern, a low blow can change the momentum of the fight. Cotto is a great body puncher but from time to time he does punch people in the balls on purpose! I don't know how anybody can make a excuse for that, it aint the same as excessive clinching.

A shot to the balls takes the wind out of you and makes you weak in the knees. Roach has been around the sport for years and can tell that Cotto does it on purpose, just because the Cotto stans wont admit it dont mean it aint true.

Intentional shots to the balls are only allowed in street fights, in boxing its considered cheating. Cotto is the bigger and stronger fighter he shouldn't have to resort to punching Pac in the balls to win the fight.
