A typical headline that won't trigger those who don't understand things

Wow. I guess Grandpa Bernard is right huh? I mean China's dumping US treasuries right? Lol

No offense to Grandpa in this case. What I want people to look at is The intended effect, what is implied by the article, versus what it is saying.

It is implied that China is doing something that is hurting treasuries, or some other shenanigan. But anybody who understands the market's understands every investor goes between assets like gold and treasuries.

Treasuries are used as a hedge. When gold is weak, when the dollar is strong. The use of treasuries is cyclical. Now this may change with ******* to some degree or another, that's a different issue entirely.

But with a little common sense, understanding of how markets work, one can look at this article for what it is which is basically a muck raking article designed to stir up s***.

Put another way: what China is doing is what every investor does in this situation.

Putting your money in gold is a little bit like having sex with no pregnancy. It's easy to put it in, money, your weenie, but pulling out is a b****! When do you take profits with gold? And who wants to pull out!?
