Devin doesnt have the twitch muscle. When a athlete like Loma puts the pressure on you changing leveles going in and out fast he panics and his only form of defense is going for a clinch. With Ryan being big he couldn't do that. He couldn't outmuscle him.

Hes not particularly great at anything. His chin sucks, no power, hes not that fast but tries to fight in a style like he is fast.

Haneys lack of athelticim was seen in this fight vs Ryan Garcia. He finally fought someone around his size and around his age. The speed difference was seen. The power difference was huge.

Haney is not the athlete that Ryan Garcia, Shakur Stevenson, Gervonta Davis or Teofimo Lopez are. Those guys all have elite speed, explosive and/or power.

Haney was moved well and is a good fighter but hes not this pound for pound star that Eddie Hearn and some of Haneys fans made him out to be.

Haney is the perfect opponent for Garcia who is a bit loose defensively. He can fire away with no worries

- - Eddie gave Heinie an opportunity, that's what promoters do. What happens next determines Heinie future role in boxing. Whatever happens he won't melt like Garcia has been doing.

And guess what? Heinie still Boxrec #1 because of his opposition and title successes. Guy who needs to prove himself is Garcia who has all the natural attributes a fighter could ask for but for brains.

Aren't some of these takes a little reactionary? People always complain about fighters protecting the "0", and yet here we have a significant proportion of the forum writing off a former undisputed champion because of one decision loss.

He made some tactical errors, one of which possibly came before they set foot in the ring. He's still going to be a difficult fight for people in his division.

This. but it's still NSB. Which means everyone is either a bum or an ATG. Nothing in between. Those are the choices.
