It's actually not only people directly or indirectly involved in the sport or the business side of it. You see it here right in this very forum. You see 60 yr old posters still making threads hating on some fighter/s. One even change his mode of writing making it appear he is still twelve so he can be tolerated. Whether you see it bad or good, some call it passion.

Exactly, in this day and age, social hierarchy is running rampant everywhere. Mix it with ego and hype in a plastic fast food culture with low moral values, and you have big-head syndrome like never before, and the big-head butting is everywhere on all levels, from playground to icon. Humanity is really messed up at the moment.
