You are right but referees never take away points from excessive holding which is a more common trend among black fighters. Mayweather got away with it for years, protected by refs and Las Vegas. In any pther country, he would have been disqulified or would have quite a few losses or draws.

Looks like a Donald Curry situation. Now I'm not saying he's anything like him as a fighter so don't take my words and make something out of nothing.
He stayed at 135 too long and now he's already burnt out at 140 just 2 fights in. Curry stayed too long at 147 and never was the same fighter down the line hope Haney can rebuild or else he'll suffer the same fate.Comment

Look at Curry. When he moved up to 54 he didn't win a big fight to my recollection, so not to jinx. The kid could play out very similar, especially if he fights a top dog. Do well for x amount of rounds, and then boom, coming up short yet again.Comment

Not exactly garbage, but truth is Haney's a dirty fighter. Not the worse, but he does things like trying hard to sneak in punches while holding. Well, it worked against him last night and got dropped with a vicious combo.
Probably why he prefers to hold on to the opponent's waist so he can bury his face and make it illegal for the opponent to punch the back of his head.Last edited by tomhawq; 04-21-2024, 02:14 PM.Comment

Haney looked BEAT the Fook up lol. no reason for rematch. Ryan should just go 147. he obviously was DRAINED to the worst degree against Tank. no wonder they didn't wanna fight him at his best. he'll make Ryan vs Boots at 147. get some eyes on these guysComment
