I don't trust either of them to not sh^t the bed, but I think I'd have to lean Ryan cuz hes got the superior resume/opps & beat a p4p guy tonight while Benn hasn't looked the same post-ped situation.

Would be good for name value only.

Benn hasn't even fought a Top 10 fighter, plus he has to sort out his drug test issues which are still on going since his hearing win was overturned.

While I agree, and benn shouldn’t be fighting, I don’t think that messes with his ability to fight in the US does it or did the recent appeal effect that?

Why not. That is un obvious fight. Both are there for money fights only.

Depends if they have put him under temporary suspension again or not whilst they make their decision on a ban, like they did last time before he won the hearing and his suspension lifted. That's the only reason he can fight abroad because when he won his hearing vs UKAD/BBBoC his suspension was lifted, so whilst the BBBoC wouldn't license him he wasn't suspended to fight elsewhere.

Whereas now that hearing win has been overturned, according to Eddie Hearn they haven't temporarily suspended him but like I say they haven't made a statment.

I think the chances of Benn fighting after getting his hearing win overturned is at zero, suspension or not. He will wait out for the BBBoC/UKAD's verdict now. There is no point continuing this back and forth of hearings.

Benn is nothing more than a domestic level fighter. That's why they've only out him him in with guys that were fringe contender 12 years ago and have no power

Forget Garcia, if I'm Hearn, I'd use Benn as a springboard for Boots.

Benn hasn't got a high ceiling, he's never going to be a true top fighter, which means he doesn't make you any money in the long run, plus he has lost a lot of public support...

If Boots is as good as they say, then Hearn should let him wreck Benn. It exposes Boots to a bigger audience and he's going to earn you more in the long run if you promote him right.

That's a decent match up considering the options
