He won a vacant title, but he has also defended his 140-147 lb titles. And as anyone will tell you, it's easier to win a world title than defend a world title.

Ill have no sympathy for Pac not because of training but because his eyes were bigger than his stomach in accepting to fight Cotto.

In my opinion him choosing to train in the Philippines was an absolute joke due to obvious reasons, and the recent downpours on his training grounds which makes it impossible to get roadwork in and train outdoors is costing him. He could have easily trained anywhere else outside of the US. Could have moved camp to Canada, or had a secluded training camp in Mexico. His options were vast and he chose the worst one of them all. If he loses he deserves it.

Of course his camp is an important issue but this was a bad fight from the get go. If he loses it will likely be because Cotto's combination of size and skill were to great to overcome.
