A true man can give credit to the greats before him so credit to em. As disputed as that Lomachenko fight was, it really coulda gone either way being that there were alot of swing rounds in that fight IMO. But Haney has shown continued improvement throughout his career and his masterclass of Prograis has shown that. Can't say the same for Garcia. Unless Garcia lands a big shot, it will probably be another school of boxing 101 for Haney.

There is a reason Haney vs Regis didn't sell, because many thought he lost to an old 130 pounder. People need to understand Haney just doesn't have it. Yet to beat an elite prime fighter.

Honestly people don’t buy fights based on those principles even though i agree he should have done a rematch. Sometimes its a combination of factors and even perception as we saw w Crawford PPV. If we use PPV as a barometer than KSI and Logal Paul are ATGs.

If we compare all the fighters at same age as Haney, who was willing to take the risk to fight Loma? Why for example have neither Tank, Shakur or Ryan got any criticism for not fighting him? I feel many fighters promoters (ones i blame more) were relieved when Teo beat Loma and Kambosos beat Teo as it helped them avoid both fighters.

Also there is a reason Haney looked like a completely different fighter vs prograis. From 17 yrs old to 24 in one weight class isn’t healthy. That level of weight draining will ALWAYS show when you step up to elite.

Prograis was a top tier fighter in his weight division with 80 percent knockout ration and few would take that risk as first fight in new division. Instead of giving credit we are talking about PPV.

Haney has fought 7 former world champions in his last 7 fights - but honestly people who made up their mind will always find excuses to put him down.

Haney is taking the hard road and is only 25, over time just like those who doubted Crawford - people will be obliged to give him his dues.

You learn a lot by fighting good fighters. That’s why more young fighters should challenge themselves against the best more often, they can still bounce back should they lose and the experience they gain can make them more dangerous once they hit their peak.
