Haney doesn't go for the KO. EVER. Look at his fights against Santiago, Gamboa, Kambossos, Prograis... It's just not him, it's not his personality. Thus the poor ticket sales.

I agree that this fight may not happen cause Ryan looks heavy. Probably his intention to get out of the fight.
Easy work for Haney who I don't care too much for but he is a great boxer who takes his job seriously unlike Garcia.

I'll honestly be surprised if this is competitive. Garcia is an attraction but he doesn't seem like a top dog at all. That left hook better be steaming or he'll quit before the stoppage. I can't wait either way though.

I just think Derrick James has a lot at stake as a trainer. I don't think he'll have an unprepared Garcia facing Haney.

Plus Garcia didn't look bad in his last fight. And while Haney gave Kambosos a boxing lesson twice and Prograis (an overrated fighter) a boxing Iesson once, he barely beat Loma. It could've gone either way. I had Haney winning, but Loma had faster hands. Haney also got hurt against Linares. I think Haney can win on points, but I give Garcia a knockout's chance.

Ryan does look quite big, like he can weigh in at light middleweight. Anyway, most fighters are quite dehydrated to make the weight, and then rehydrate.

Devin himself may have been accused of being a weight bully, before he had to move up.

Derrick James already said he's retiring, and won't take on any new fighters, and that whether Ryan can improve is up to Ryan.

James says he's not taking on any new fighters. He'll retire when his stable retires.

I just said that... Point is, if he's retiring with his stable, there's less incentive other than vanity to try to look good, especially with a primadonna like Ryan who couldn't learn from trainers who have won Trainer of the Year. Which is why he said it's up to Ryan.
