    Well done Inoue.

The ****** ego that "we" have here is going to doom this nation.

Inoue's opponents beg to fight him in Japan for that reason. He uses his cash cow status to make the fights against the top opponents, rather than use it to duck them, like certain other fighters these days.

It's also incredibly hypocritical coming from Porter, who IIRC never fought even one time outside his home country, while Inoue has fought in the US 3 times and in Scotland once.

The fact of the matter is that he makes more money in Japan, and so do his opponents. Even Donaire, who was a bigger name, knew this. Why should everybody involved come to America to make less money?

Why does some of the US demographic have a hard time giving credit to others? Inoue is an ATG . If you don’t see it you don’t want to see it.

You can't go around bragging that America is the fight capital of the world and then turn around and beg for people to come fight in America.

Porter injecting his nonsense again. Same guy who claimed Once Upon A Time Thurman is more competitive for Tzsyu than Fundora. Only because he (Porter) fought Thurman in a close fight. And that was millennia ago.

And what's the point of the Japanese star going to America which is now full of poor people who can't even buy tickets to boxing matches? Can't even sell Garcia/Haney fight. Then in comparison I see any fight, virtually any fight, in the UK always crowded full of happy people celebrating.

Here in UK - yeah well, there's not so much to do here as USA - lousy weather and all.
"happy people" = drunk and high people

If Inoue was going to be a star in America, he would be already. Its just easier to be a star in a smaller place.

                      'Big in Japan' by alphaville

                      thats a good song

Im sure the guy would love to headline vegas in huge fights but his opponents needed are not there as far as i can see, hes not some kazak who has to make the journey, hes made himself into a star at home long ago which is a big market and gives him all he wants

porter is usually pretty ok with his comments but this time i think he just shot from the hip, in a lot of cases its true what he says but not in this case i dont think
