Randomly this wouldn't be an awful fight in the next 6-12ish mos depending on what goes down for either over the next fight or two.

I think every major fighter that once talked about retiring in their twenties ended up fighting into their forties, or in some cases fifties (Roy Jones).

That said I wish more guys did retire more timely. Get in, get paid, get out needs to be more common than it is.

Agree its unlikely to happen, I just think it'd be a fun fight to make in the next yr if things go as I suspect they will.

With the Saudis in play I do think a lot of fights like this have more possibilities to happen than I usually would think tho so who knows.

If the skill and physical tools are there , why wait ? Too much can go wrong inside and outside of the ring to hold a guy back for artificial reasons. Who knows , Anderson may be as ready as he's ever going to be. He's not one of those guys who came to boxing late and has to play catch up. If he feels that he is ready, let him loose.

When I seen Anderson wobbling around like bambi on ice skates a couple of times against Prince Charles it reminded me of Michael Grant in his pomp.

The belts are going to fracture soon, Anderson is an American Heavyweight so he's a shoe in for a vacant title shot as the alphabodies love an American heavyweight.

I can see why people think he's got potential, but he also carries his hands awfully low, keeps his head in the center lane when he's not specifically trying to take a different lane, loads up on shots, and gasses out pretty quickly. He's got the talent to become a real threat if he works on his skills, but based on his comments and attitude and behavior outside the ring, I don't think he's got the work ethic to be a good champion and work on those flaws.

I'd favor Jared over DDD. Jared definitely gots more hype than substance still but DDD has been more shaky in his step ups than Jared has been so far & idk that I was ever THAT confident DDD wasn't about to sh^t the bed vs Miller last time out.

I think that the little bit of hype behind Miller for the Dubois fight was all about the 'schit talking US guy' being too tough for the Brit. People have been buying into that for decades. In reality, there was zero in their respective skill sets or resumes that should have made people favour Miller.

Anderson v Miller isn't quite as extreme a gap (ie Anderson has some talent and isn't just a massive slob), but experience wise you wouldn't put Anderson anywhere near Dubois. If they did then I'd give massive credit to Anderson for backing himself. There'd be people favouring him on the old US talker basis, but Dubois should be a huge favourite on their respective resumes.

But it won't happen. You can't have zero US heavyweights in the mix and that could happen with an Anderson loss to a middling heavyweight. Anderson will be moved very, very slowly. He'll get a chance at a vacant belt at some point.

Idk about the hype angle. I think it was an interesting fight cuz we've seen DDD sh^t the bed a few times now & it always seems in play in fights where he could get tested. PED Miller mighta been able to test DDD, but non-PED Miller was not up to it obviously. But I feel like DDD shouldn't be a huge favorite over many top 30 guys which you could argue Miller was at one point despite him being more of unknown capabilities since hes comeback.

But again yea I agree Jared vs DDD has a low probability of happening.
