Well mungia is a live body so that could happen tbh ,let me remind you Jaimes is fighting for the belt he is a legit contender its just that he isn't named David Benavidez.

He has two fights in the division the first he didn't look too good, and the second against a 2nd tier journeyman, Morell jr is been waiting for three years and benavidez for two, both mandatories. He could have dropped the belts and fight munguia and all would have been fine. He's the weakest link and that's why it would be poetic justice if he could pull it off.

Mungia is not the weakest link, dont know where u getting that from,matter of facts, Mungia would be a clear step up for Morrell if they were scheduled to fight, when is the cuban fighting after all? Canelo will save boxing from the soulless Saudis. Saudi fights are sterile money only affairs, all greed no glory, pure sports washing. Between benavidez and Morrell Jr he is. And you might call it a step up, but if benavidez were willing to fight Morrell Jr and he would chose mungia, I'd say that Morrell Jr is ducking benavidez and is fighting the weakest link.
