canelo seems to be some sort of lynch pin anchoring weight classes up and down from 168, he said he wanted to go all the way to heavyweight at one point & now everyone from WW up wants to face him lol
any opponent hes fought or been linked with can now fight each other from WW to heavyweight, its a boxing revolution here
i think floyds idea that bud should fight benny is opening things up as well, if bud can fight benny then he can fight any LHW i presume too & maybe beyond who knowsComment

Yeah, Bivol's win against Canelo got everyone talking, but you know how it goes in boxing, there's always some back and forth. And you're spot on about the weight and reach stuff, it's gonna make this potential match-up even more interesting.Comment

So Crawford is not as big as Canelo? He would not beat Canelo?
Ok...can we now stop mentioning this midget in the same sentence with Canelo?Comment

If Crawford wants to fight Canelo Alvarez at 168 pounds 'Maybe he should actually enter into the 168 pound division, and fight one of the other top Super Middle Weight fighters'.
Note: Stylistically there is obviously something Crawford has detected in Alvarez's fighting style 'And this is one of the reasons why he believes he can beat Alvarez'.
Once Crawford has invaded the Super Middle Weight Division, on a fight by fight basis 'The Crawford vs Alvarez fight will gain traction within the media, and become a much more serious talking debate' etc.

why would he do that he would lose to some B level 168 pound guy and then never get the canelo fight.
The closest to a 3 weight class jump in recent history was Pac within a year and he went from 130 to 147 with a quick stop at 135 and that was to fight ancient weight drain DLH.
Canelo is past his best but he isnt zombie DLH territory. And Crawford is mid 30s not a 20 something pac.Last edited by elfag; 04-13-2024, 02:27 PM.Comment
