I don't get what Canelo has to do with Ali. Why would his legacy matter to Canelo?

Legacy is fraud, a scam. Many great boxers in past died homeless or with mental illness. Its business, make money till 35-40 and get out of it.

He’s worth hundreds of millions…when is the money enough to stop taking on the best challenges?

At the end of the day the coward clenelo can fight whoever he wants. The balls-less clown will have the i ducked DavidBenavidez asterisk next to his name in the boxing hall of fame

Either give up the belts or defend them. That’s what’s wrong. Canelo can choose who he wants to fight but yes it will absolutely damage his legacy. Everyone still ****s on about Ray Leonard ducking Pryor and Canelo ducking Benavidez is way more obvious than that - he’s been wbc mandatory for what, 3 years+.

Malignaggi does have a point. If you sit at the top you are absolutely an example and should behave accordingly and that is precisely what engenders respect and admiration in the fan base.

If he doesn’t want to defend his belts against his mandatories fine but then the governing bodies should then strip him just like they do with everyone else.

Benavidez was the best fighter at 168 before Canelo moved up and in my opinion still is until Canelo proves otherwise.
