There is ring rust, if you have been inactive competing for a longer period. So that's just BS to say.

Haye has done nothing in a year...he hasn't done anything at HW and he hasn't done his talking....Haye has just about completely dropped from this fight fan's radar

The bear is very slow and I don't think Haye will have trouble seeing his punches. That's why fighters from lower down can sometimes do well at Heavyweight if they can take a punch. Haye aint got a chin but he has movement and reflexes that will surely make it hard for the bear to hit him.

I mean Holyfield danced around him and won that fight... Haye is faster than Holyfield right now.

The only issue is that Haye will have trouble hitting Valuev.

I think it may well affect him. There is nothing like being in a real fight so really you can't say it won't.

Im worried as a Haye fan, he has bulked up alot from what i have seen, will he keep his speed? will the lack of activity effect him? i think it might. Honestly i think people might be calling for a Haye win a bit to early, Valeuv is not THAT ****. He is over 300 pounds and is 7.3 or something to Haye 6,3?, Haye is faster and stronger then Holyfield right now, but Holyfield is a good tactician and went 24 rounds with Lewis without being KD. His defense is also alot better than Haye

I hope im wrong but people shouldn't be writing off Valeuv right now given:

            Haye's inactivity
            Weakish Chin
            10 inch difference in height
            100 odd pounds in weight..

did you compare holyfield to david"i havent proved ****"haye??holyfield is 1000 times tougher than haye..better defense and a better chin..haye's chin is fragile and it will show in the valuev fight

Unrelated to the topic itself but I really feel the need to post this.

I can't seem to get my head around why certain users (not naming names or pointing fingers, i'm sure people can work out for themselves) feel the need to regurgitate the same information in their posts completely needlessly.

This thread is about David Haye's activity, so why on earth is there any need to comment on Monte Barretts loss to Cliff Couser?

Another example off the top of my head is any mention of a Klitschko and we get a David Haye is a braggart post.

And any mention of David Haye we get a 'the Klitschko's are humble and give to charity' post.

Usually followed up by one of the other cretins quoting the original poster and agreeing.

Swear down it does my head in, these robotic posters and their repetitive ****.

On topic: I think the inactivty with affect David, yes, but won't affect the outcome of the fight: the stylistic matchup will keep Haye pretty safe so he won't be going life and deat hfrom the opening bell.

He had two world title fights at cruiserweight:

                    1) Against Mormeck, who was shot after his wars with Bell, yet managed to floor Haye
                    2) Against the notoriously glass-chinned Maccarinelli

He avoided the rugged Guillermo Jones, the durable hard-punching Wlodarczyk, the iron-chinned Firat Arslan and the slick Steve Cunningham. Haye was never a real champion, he just fought all the shot, old and/or weak-chinned boxers at cruiserweight.

and 3 world titles at that lol
of course the layoff will be a factor but thats wat sparring is about and i dont think timing is gonna be a huge factor in this fight given how slow valuev is and how easy he can be to hit
