Imo there's basically two guys at 168 that deserve a Canelo fight on merit: Benavidez and Morrell, and coincidentally they are both mandatory challengers via sanctioning orgs.

However they could really turn the screw on Canelo by taking a chance, fighting each other, "unifying" their bs interim titles, and presenting one outstanding challenger.

I'd argue Mbilli is the second best at 168lb because of his win over Carlos Gongora. Benavidez has beaten a lot of middleweights moving up and his best win at 168 is Plant - and I would bet Plant would not beat Gongora.

Type of comments that get me to actually enjoy Canelo saying no to people. If I was him I would say nope to these people saying they deserve and expect me to fight them. lol. Just fight each other and figure who the best is. Or whatever. This is coming from someone who wants Canelo to go against Benny now, but wow, the begging is so annoying
