  • Running jabbing and clinching is NOT boxing!!!!

That is NOT skill that's blatantly avoiding what you are paid to do in a prize fight yet its been allowed amd rewarded more than ever over the last decade.

And people wonder why boxing is considered a 2nd tier sport now, this was pathetic tonight not one warning from the corrupt Raul Caiz Jr he was no doubt in on the fix just like the judges.

If boxing doesn't fix this garbage it will only continue to decline.

Guys like Hitchinson are not boxers they are not fighters plain n simple.

It's a cowardly way of winning that's for sure, with the curruption openly displayed by scumbags like hearn it's not going to go away anytime soon though, unfortunately.

You mean be awarded a fixed decision because they are not legitimately winning anything with that crap.

But yeah unfortunately I agree it's not gonna change and that's why this sport will continue to struggle.

Barely hit and don't get hit is the true skill of boxing.

Awarded is a better way of putting it yes.

Unless hitchins is truly deluded he must know privately that he lost 8 or 9 rounds and was lucky to not lose points for an embarrassing amount of holding.

You can only get away with this if you are Money Mayweather who earned the right through the hard yards of his "Pretty Boy" days.

If you're relatively new and aren't well-known to the world yet, you have to continuously make a name for yourself. And that is by being spectacular in your performances to draw in the talks of your name and whispers being thrown around.

All of these young guys want Money May's wealth, fame, and status, but they haven't done anything from the get-go to earn it righteously. Put in the hard yards!

Wladimir Klitschko became ATG that way. He is the greatest Greco-Roman wrestler in the history of boxing, apart from being one of the top cheaters.

Running and jabbing is fine, it could be boring, but it is legal. Doing some clinch is also fine but it depends on whether you want to grab and/or lean over the opponent or you do it only to negate your opponent's game.

It'll get you the W but people pay for this. Pity pat is weak. Can you imagine "Maximus" running around the coliseum yelling "are you not entertained"?

Man, a boxer that fears getting hit is in the wrong profession. They get paid well. A firefighter with pyro phobia throwing Play-Doh buckets of water from the lawn.

A loss should be a loss regardless of status. There's a reason Mayweather was content being the champion of Las Vegas.
