Montoya is quite slow handed, not sure if he can time a boxer like Castro with a knockout at this point.

Lol, both guys throwing punches 5 seconds after the final bell. 99-91 Castro on my card, nice performance from him tonight, Montoya is made of iron

Cards as follows: 100-90, 98-92 and 97-93, UD for Castro. Don't think his ceiling is super high, but he should be in fun fights all the way up the ladder. I'd love to see him fight Jorge Castaneda next, think that's a perfect fight, Blunose Lopez would be a good opponent too.

On the other hand, Matchroom, I am begging you, please make Montoya vs Bronco Lara next!! I need to see if Bronco can dent Montoya and if not, can Montoya wear down and stop Lara!

Castro showcase well his skills in this bout, though I wonder if he can still improve his defense. As Marc has an average chin and below average power.

perhaps he could fight Zelfa Barrett?

Not that I'm a women's boxing expert by any means, but I feel like this is probably a step too far for Nicolson at this stage, I'm expecting her to lose

You might have missed the ref getting a check for giving him the stoppage. He was winning, and he did shake Lopez with that shot. But he didn't really land anything against the ropes. It's just that they wanted a stoppage for him, and time was running out.

How come? Their records are not that far apart unless you mean Nicholson hasn't really fought top caliber fighters. (Which is difficult to know.)

That is a good footnote for a debuting fighter to beat an experienced fighter who was never stopped by knockout.

But man thats unfair to Lopez, he likely is not going to get more opportunities to improve himself in the rankings or fight for a big paycheck.
