  • If I was Benavidez, I would go to a cruiserweight right now

Moving top to division ruled by two elite guys, because the only elite guy at 168 is ducking you...is not a great move.

Why not move to a cruiserweight division, Benavidez is huge, he can put a lot of muscle on and compete there and take the belt.

Benavidez - Opetaia could be a big fight.

Benavidez is not even 30, does he really need to take an L against Bivol or Beterbiev?

Benny only claim to fame is that Canelo is ducking him. If he started at 175 he'd be another Zurdo but worse.

He wants to be a champion in multiple divisions it would be ****** to skip lhw. As usual you have the dumbest takes.

Lucky you’re not Benavidez then isn’t it.

Benavidez should fight the Beterbiev-Bivol winner.

He won't take an L at 175 Betterbieve has no chin he's a stiff slow 40 yr old overrated hype job and Benavidez already beat Bivol up during the years they spent sparring. Even bivol himself sounds unsure of himself vs Benny.

You just don't wanna see your commy boys get beat up by him.

Well that be a bad move to jump another division to duck any fighter, whether he wins or losses, that's the risk any fighter should be willing to take, Benavidez shouldn't be discredited if he loses to a accomplished champion like Beterviev/Bivol or if the beats the winner, that doesn't take away what they already accomplished at light heavyweight and what they do in the future.

He should be critized if he isn't able to comeback from a loss, like Zurdo has pulled off at Cruiserweight after getting discouraged to his one sided loss.

Bivol vs Beterviev happens in June 1 and Benavidez vs Gvozdyk happens in June 22. The winner of Benavidez/Gvozdyk becomes the mandatory. The recovery time for the winners should be about the same and the fight could happen at the end of the year. Why the heck shouldn't it happen? Fighters losing their 0 has become real problem in professional boxing.

              - - If Bena were to do that, he'd be as dumbo and useless as U.

Thankfully he's not, and so naturally doing great and very proactive in his fight selections.

benny v any of the guys at 175 are very interesting fights

who knows benny may be last man standing at 175, the big fight at 175 is going to saudi i think, maybe the ragheads will be interested in benny v the winner, having 3 well known good guys can only be good news, plus one is getting old now and if i remember has had a few injuries so definitely on a timer for him

its clear he cant wait around at 168 for canelo whos got the division on lockdown along with his wbc clowns helping him, saudi money v one of the B's, not a bad plan since canelo is so terrified of him
