By the way, what are your thoughts on this match up? Gvozdyk is a thudding big puncher, but he isn't a one punch knockout fighter, he wins through punch accumulation like Benavidez. the Ukranian can box pretty well either backward and forward, but he isn't as slick defensively and mobile as let's say Andrade and Plant.
So this is a style that Benavidez can unleash his combinations from the get-go rather relying on loaded punches to slow his opponents down.
I believe David will showcase he has overall better defense than most are willing to admit. Whether it's the active Winky Wright like high guard or through slipping punches via waist/head movement like he did with big punchers in Lemieux (aware he declined and a middleweight, still a strong puncher though)( (43-4, 36 KOs) and Alexis Roamer Angulo (26-1, 22 KOs) who was a top contender at the time that upset a well touted former Mayweather prospect Anthony Sims Jr (20-0, 18 KOs). He was a gatekeeper who never got a belt at 168 like Anthony Yarde is at 175 though he lacked the experience of fighting a elite opponent like Kovalev even if it was a knockout loss.
