    lol some of these posts
imo I thought it was a good pairing, Spence just ran into bud Crawford who had the tools for a nice game plan; counters out of southpaw.
what Errol does outside the ring and away from the gym is his business.
that aside I’m a fan of Garcia and I think Errol has the tools that he can work with.
or it might not be personal, just strictly business and with Spence moving up he would be an opponent to his star pupil

He'll probably get him a canelo fight, where he'll make loads of money with zero change of winning

The only thing Robert Garcia can teach Spence is dirty tactics. I think Garcia blurs the lines when it comes to sportsmanship. Most of his fighters fight dirty. Spence is shot so I'm pretty sure that's what he's referring to when he says "fine tuning".

Unless it involves getting into car accidents and drinking, which damages your body and brain.

I know it's a long shot, but how much does Spence's driving instructor charges?

            I'm game.

Why a jerk? Robert is one of the stand up guys in the business. Nobody is perfect, but everyone ( ex-fighters incl) speaks well of Robert and his stable keeps growing. Wouldn't be the case if he was a jerk.

Garcia is a good trainer but I feel like DJ did a good job with Spence overall. Maybe Garcia can tweak a few things but Spence is already a good technician, excellent jab and fundamentals. He doesn't have the footwork or speed or Crawford, or the quick mind. But I don't think any trainer can give that to him at this stage of his career.

you are who you are at this point.... changing spence's style of fighting will not work and at this point...

adding MORE to what spence have already is what spence needs... this will never happen, but he needs to get with Freddie Roach to sharpen up his offense with some new combos, etc...

look at cotto.... cotto was always a more boxer style type fighter... then late in his career, he switched trainer to one who concentrate more on defense and cotto was successful for a few fights but it didnt work out so cotto hooked up with roach and became a better version late in his career...

you cannot change a fighter's style late in his career... it wont work and it wont stick with him because that fighter is used to fighting the style he has fought for years... what you can do is add more to his style.. add some new moves, etc..
