It was a nasty cut, no doubt. The fight wasn’t stopped because of its location. Maybe it could not have been stopped. It was to the bone. However; In my opinion they were not prepared. Direct pressure is how you stop a cut. I only saw them apply the tiny q-tips to the cut. Literally, the wood of the q-tip was being pressed into the cut with a towel. Where were the larger q-tips, or gauze? Just my observation.

Just to say what everyone knows. An elbow putting that kind of gash on the top of the head is a result of a genetically freakish weirdo with elbows like blades. Never could have happened with two normal opponents. And yeah Tim would have busted him up and KO'd him if not for the buckets of blood.
Fundora is a guy that literally makes me think maybe there should be some kind of height limit in divisions apart from heavyweight, where there would be no weight or height limit. Boxing is a brutal sport where guys can die and do at times, it is not swimming, or basketball. Genetic freaks bring with them advantages into a deadly sport. And I am not blaming Fundora, the kid seems like a decent person.
Just saying that in a sport where people inflict damage on each other and can die from sustained blows, concussions, etc.....maybe there should be some limits inside weight classes when you have a dude literally a foot taller than everyone else with spider arms and razor elbows able to make weight.
I personally can barely watch Fundora. It is uncomfortable.Last edited by Theshotyoudontsee; 04-01-2024, 10:02 AM.Comment

One can say what they will but that cut put Tim Tszyu at a severe major disadvantage. However, I am glad to know that he is at least manning up and owning it.
After all, it was his choice to continue fighting that way. One loss won’t set this kid’s career back. Even after losing all of that blood he still neatly pulled off the victory.Comment

I still don't understand how there was no doctor stoppage before 4 rounds to make it a no contest. The fight took an immediate 180 degree turn from round 3 as Tszyu had blood constantly pouring into both eyes. Just as interesting as none of the commentators mentioned it either.Comment
