Why is Tony Yoka so terrible?

I remember when this guy was knocking out Duhaupas in a single round who had a real fight with Wilder.
How did he drop off so bad

He is just not good. His style doesn`t translate well into pro boxing. He was a very solid amateur.
Duhaupas was a very solid journeyman, but he was already done when he fought Yoka. Wilder and other guys hurt him badly long before Yoka fought him.
So Yoka beating Duhaupas in 1 round didn`t mean anything.
