Chon came in ready. This is all on Dalton, really solid performance. Zepeda clipped him in the prior round and stunned him so I expected Zepeda to come on but was stopped in his tracks. Respect to Dalton, definitely a step in the right direction.

Congratulations to Dalton Smith with body shot finish in the fifth round, Zepeda actually put a better performance than he did in his last fight and was fully prepared. Thid is Dalton's first step up fight to the world level, he had struggled initially and made the right adjustments.

Hope that Zepeda carefully considers if he should keep continuing fighting, considering he might not have the reflexes, the athleticism and durability to compete at the top level jeopardizing his health. He doesn't have to take any more damage if he has money saved up to make a living or has a back up plan (like being a coach or work on another profession).

Becoming a world ranked fighter and 3x title challenger is a impressive feat of its own even if people in modern media might state he it's nothing compared to becoming a champion.

He was a entertaining agressive counter puncher who had a southpaw stance. He gave it his all against Baranchyk, Pedraza, Ramirez and Prograis giving entertaining fights. He shouldn't be discouraged by not achieving what many people couldn't.

Been done imo. I think that Ivan Baranchyk fight took a toll on him. That was a rough fight & idk if either were the same after. Ivan never won another fight & the only semi-legit guy Chon has beat since then is Josue Vargas.

It's never a good sign when a boxer says he'll retire if he loses.
