Benavidez is one of the only guys who'll be smashing an array of body shots into Clitnelo - by the mid rounds Clitnelo would be in real trouble, the like of which he's not been in before, hence why he'd rather wait for the world to freeze over before accepting the fight.

lots of people are predicting that canelo gets beat by this guy so what does canelo do, make a fight with a guy that pretty much everyone thinks he will beat, great a-side stuff right there

when Floyd was the cash cow from the age of 33-36 he was facing real competition; wbc 147lbs champion & ring magazine #2 Victor Ortiz, wba 154 champion and ring magazine #1 Cotto, then his mandatory at 147lbs the wbc interim champion Guerrero and THEN at 36 years old unified wba & wbc champion Canelo...

Canelo is only 33 now but his last 3 fights have been against a 41 year old debuting at 168lbs, domestic level Ryder who only got the opportunity on a technical due to an in fight injury to his opponent and career light middleweight Jermell Charlo. Its tragic stuff.

Benny could be favourite, but Nell could pull it off. The greats can pull last performance out of bag.

Canelo is as far into his career as Floyd was by time he retired (19 years) and has more fights than Floyd...

Unless you want to count that farce McGregor fight as a "real fight" for some bizarre reason but it's about as legit as his "fight" against Nasukawa and the other expeditions...

I think canelo gets smashed. He doesn't want that fight like the plague so he can make another 150M in his late few. Conveniently the amount he wants to fight him lol

I will throw paulie a bone with his predictions. Imho he is a classic overachiever because of his ring IQ. He doesn't understand that others aren't able to think in the pocket like him, or have a real good chin, and thinks they can leverage their talents the way he can.
