Turki Alalshikh wants Benavidez to fight the Bivol-Beterbiev winner. Says that fight is more practical.

If that were the case he’d already be light heavyweight champion

Canelo never wanted to fight Beterbiev.
He was happy going away from Bivol rematch negotiations as soon as he could.
And, Canelo doesn`t even want to fight Benavidez at 168. And now you want me to believe he would fight Benavidez at 175.
I don`t even believe Benavidez can beat Bivol or Beterbiev. But even if he could, canelo would never fight him at 175, lol.Comment

I didn’t say he would necessarily win, I said he would be interested in the chance to win all the belts. And if Turki throws a bag of money at him it all lines up perfectly.Comment

Man, that is pure fantasy.

If it’s Bivol then Canelo has already shown he is willing to fight him and if it’s Beterbiev then that is a ****** fighter that the Saudis can throw big money behind.Comment

If I'm Team Canelo I'm playing things like hes playing them now. Least risky opp for the most money. And David doesn't really equate to a guy on the next opp list under that pov. Hes too risky for the purse hes reasonable gonna get. David vs Canelo at 175 might look like Canelo vs Mell at 168 as far as effort & ability to win.
Ultimately I suspect Canelo will start dropping belts when mandos come up or get upset by a young guy at 168 cuz there are a few threats on the rise at 168 rn. I'd even suggest Munguia is being too underrated at potentially upsetting Canelo in May. Canelo ain't Canelo no more imho.Comment

Eh idk. If Canelo won't fight David at 168 I have a hard time seeing him do it at 175. 168 is a worse weight for David, 175 is a worse weight for Canelo.
