It's virtually extortion money, and for what? An old 33 year old Canelo who is slow, worn down, and falling apart at the seams.
Canelo isn't a exciting fighter in the ring anymore, he's just barely winning his fights by the slimmest of margins, Munguia might surprise him.
There is no way that this greedy little pig deserves anywhere near that kind of money, and the promoters know that he's nowhere near that amount.

Alvarez does not want to fight Benavidez and probably won't so Benavidez might as well have some fun with the guy. Like show up ringside at Alvarez' next fight with his crew and have everyone hold a box of KFC. Then show up at Alvarez' next fight, all sit ringside in Duck Head clothing gear.
