Canelo fights Bivol thinking he would win but even if he loses, he keeps all his belts. Then when Bivol wins and wants a rematch at 168 he says no. He then goes to fight a guy 2 weight classes below him and picks a guy he knows he can beat because Mungia almost lost against Derevyanchenko. Let's not forget that after Bivol he fights an old GGG. Literally the guy is just cherry picking every single fight and it's because it does not matter who he fights, people will still pay. The Mexicans will save up all their dollars from cutting lawns to watch his $100 PPV and case of Corona on the beat up couch on the front porch.

How about canelo stop being a b***ch, just man up, fight Benavidez, and also do so without trying to compromise him? Bad enough he already has added more catchweight and rehydration clauses than anyone else in history. Bad enough he’s already proven to have his era where he was an infamous weight bully who got caught gaining 19 pounds in 1 day and then stopped weighing in on the day of fights. Bad enough he got caught taking banned substances that assist with cutting weight. Now he wants to use Benavidez being too big as an excuse to run away? And this is why canelo never fully gets full respect from real boxing fans, other boxers and the real Mexican fan base.

One word will suffice for Alvarez: COWARD. His ENTIRE career has been scripted. Benavides does not fit the script. When a fighter makes that kind of comment that that straight coward and fraud made about 250 million dollars , it says everything.
The B level, flat-footed Mexican face first, opponent Mungia fits the script. Bravery in BOXING these days comes in degrees. Canelo is fine when the opponent fits the script and makes it easier to be brave.
Benavides does not inspire courage in this fraud. And the WBC, which is Canelos personal footstool, enables his cowardice. I'm pleased to see that even some of his most ardent fanboys, have finally took their heads out the ground and realize this now.

At this point Benavidez should just move on. Just about everyone knows that Canelo doesn't want to fight him, so he should focus on building himself into a cash cow. Beat Canelo where it really matters.

While this website - despite recently hiring a raft of new writers and a supposed focus on boxing only - has yet to post anything about Wilder-Zhang and Hrgovic-Dubois being added to the June 1 Bivol-Beterbiev card, the fact is it’s another clear sign that the Saudis have no interest in Canelo. They would literally rather pay big money twice to see Wilder fight in nontitle fights than pay once to bring a champion Canelo, the so-called “face of boxing,” over to the Middle East. Thats why it’s so hilarious to see the Canelo fanboys brag that he’s “using his leverage” and demanding a $150 million to $200 million purse to fight Benavidez when the reality is Canelo is actually BEGGING the Saudis to make him a lucrative offer to fight in Saudi Arabia. He should put his begging bowl away and forget about Saudi Arabia.
