interesting theory: maywethers 0 is actually hurting him

the guys is so obsessed about preserving his 0 that he has resorted to a ridiculous level of cherry picking and ultra defensive style

while i despise him as a person, i think hes the most gifted fighter out there and probably one of the best ever.

he claims to be the GOAT but this is not achieved by the 0, but by beating everybody else a la Muhammad ali..if mayweather thinks hes better then he should adopt the same approach in terms of accepting fights

in that sense i believe his obsession in maintaining the unbeaten record is potentially going to rob him of the GOAT title which he may deserve

I sort of agree, but we gotta see what happens when he faces either Mosley or Pac/Cotto.

          put yourself in his shoes.

          lets do it realistically...

you are a poker addict.....and you do clean the house at the low level. you pwn those bitches....but against advanced poker players you dont stand a chance.

in exchange for his 0 losses...lets say what's at stake is your goddam house, girlfriend, children, etc.

would you play against those advanced poker players and risk losin everythin?
or would you keep playin at where you're comfortable at?

muahaha that's how i see PBF.

Please stop trying to justify your jealousy of Mayweather with some sort of rational theory. Mayweather I know hasn't fought anyone, so how did he become pound for pound number one. I guess delohoya, hernandez, hatton, marquez, judah, baldomir, corrales, chavez, ndou, gatti, manfredy, corley, castillio (twice), mitchell and many more is just an understatement. Why dont we crucify PAC-MAN for fighting Oscar, diaz, cotto and not facing, Bradley, Torress, marquez again, Holt, Campbell because inside we truly know he not only would lose but would get torn apart by just as athletic and hard hitting guys that he just cant beat or is it he cant fight everyone.

I remeber Larry Merchant asking Mayweather why wouldn't you stay at 135 when there are still challenges out there. Nobody ask PAC-MAN why are you trying to fight guys that are bigger than you rather than face a division that is loaded at 140 and 135. To be truthful about the whole endeavor. There would be no need for a catch weight we could just fight. I know that just makes to much sense. When PAC does it it is taking risk, when Floyd does it Hes ducking and he will never face a legit WW.

            Who is a real threat.
Cotto - who was already challended and his father said NO.

Mosley- who turned down the chance to fight me twice becus of a vacation and some cosmetic surgery.

P Williams- whom no one outside of Clottey wants to fight. Especially Margarito after the first loss and a chance to redeem his only loss, he avoided williams like the PLAQUE. How about Mosley, he will never say this name less alone claim that he would win against a guy with a reach advantage and a work rate comparable to a HEMI engine.

Berto- the most protected fighter in the industry behind only PAC-MAN. I remember Raheeem destroying E Morrales and Pac still didn't fight Raheem but instead wanted to redeem himself against a leeserr Morales who was shot. This is the same move mayweather made by fighting Judah.

This can go on and on but the fact is everyone outside of P williams fights for the least risk and the most reward.

This can go one of two ways ,

If Floyd Pac ever happens and Mayweather beats him , its more or less certain he will retire immediatley having made a lot of money over his last two fights (including Marquez) , if so we all still think of him as a great fighter (clearly not the GOAT) but a great fighter having just defeated the seemingly unstoppable Pacquiao (providing ofcourse Pac gets by Cotto)

The other eventuality is Mayweather beats Pac then fights Shane & Cotto (providing either fighter gets 1 or 2 good wins under there belt and Cotto didnt get soundly beaten by Pac) , and could have a claim as going down as the GOAT .

However what are the chances of that ??????????

What matters is what he does next. Floyd was definetely allowed a tune-up although the selected opponent was really sad for boxing.

If Floyd fights SSM followed by the Pac-Cotto winner he'll get my respect.

I could go to debunk something in every paragraph you wrote, but I think the rational neutral posters know what is fact here and what is hate and ball licking.
