Canelo is simply making a play for some of that Saudi money for his cash out exit. It’s so damned obvious. Yes Benevidez is a risky opponent, especially at this stage in both of their careers, so the a-side is looking for a bag.

More fantasy narratives. His whole point by suggesting 200m is that he DOES NOT WANT to fight Benavidez, period. It was not a serious suggestion it was just making a point he don't want the smoke. I don't even think he fights him for 100m, maybe 200m. This is not about risk vs reward, its about avoiding an ass kicking.

Man! I'm losing respect for Canelo Alvarez. This is ridiculous! He must be afraid to fight David Benavidez for real! I can't see why anyone would continuously deliberately avoid fighting someone, unless there's hidden fear of that individual. These sorry organizations are not enforcing anything! Theres no doubt Benavidez top mandatory at 168 but its also true boxing a business as well and its obvious canelo would want to cash the fck out of that fight for all the hype going on for some time now and the fact its been years falling short of 1M ppv buys ,coincidentally since GGG(another fighter you guys said he'll duck forever) ,keep in mind the ginger is on his way out and Benavidez could very well be 'the last boogeyman' of his. There is no fear its just business. Not pretty but it is what it is.

There’s nothing here to defend Canelo on. However, I’ll say this; there’s a lot of fake people on these boards complaining about “weight bully” now all of a sudden not a peep. Gone ghost. I’ve always said “weight bully” isn’t a thing and I mean it. If a man can make a weight he can make a weight PERIOD. But, there are literally DOZENS on this board who fought me life and death concerning “weight bullying” that aren’t saying a single word now….hmmmm interesting. Especially for a fighter that can damn well make LHW and quite honestly should have been a cruiserweight years ago.
