I don't expect people to agree with everything I post, but I believe that everyone agrees in that JuanMa and Gamboa are the real deal, but they need to improve their defense, tight it up. They fight with too much confidence and keep their gloves down way to much.
there isnt much "real deal" about gamboa other than power in all honesty, hes not a compelte fighter at all.

If they fight with too much confidence and keep their gloves down, it shows how unpolished and undisciplined they are, you become the real deal when you do something of note, as of right now, both of them are good alphabet titlists and thats about it. When you go to war with a guy with 12 losses and who recently fought a trash fight against Dib, that tells you where your at for right now.

If the fight were 15 rounds Mtagwa wouldn't be looking for a knock out. Boxers pace themselves. He tried his best because he knew it was the last round. If not he might not have nothing left for the next round.

I respect what you are saying, but GAMBOA is a great boxer with a great amateur record that should be able to make a name as a professional boxer. I dislike his ****iness and arrogance though. In the other hand, JuanMa is a young lion who is in a process of learning the business and he knows he better buckle up cause the rest of his career is going to be a bumpy ride.

I also believe BOTH BOXERS should get a better team, a better trainer. They have gotten as far as they will go with their current teams. I bet Roach, MayWeather Sr., Manny Stewart, ****m Richardson... any of them would love to train a boxer like Gamboa and/or JuanMa.

Co-sign. I think Gamboa is what he is and won't get much better.

That remains to be seen. If amateur career and record say something about a boxer, Gamboa should not be an exception. He got what is needed to be a star, let's see what happens when he faces a real thread, then we can keep up this conversation...

I think this was Juanma's trap fight. Guy with 12 losses, he proabably didn't expect much in return. He's never really met anyone who he could not hurt and could come back at him. He should have boxed, but he got lured into a brawl and almost lost for it in the last round. All in all, I think it'll help him improve, but he definitely has some things to work on.
