    JuanMa understimated Mtagwa

That is a mistake that should not happen again. Contrary to Cotto, JuanMa is not known to screw around when not trainning. In Puerto Rico, Cotto is known as a guy who loves to go out, hang out, get drunk, chase women and even do some coke. JuanMa is more of a disciplined athlete. Then again, as a boxer, he understimated his opponent and almost paid for it with a loss.

It's imposible to please everyone, but the facts are the following:

    1) It's the first time that JuanMa goes the distance in a fight, he ran out of gas...
    2) There were 2 knockdowns that were not recognized by the referee.
    3) Mtagwa got a difficult style, and can take a punch. (Africans got bigtime stamina)
    4) JuanMa won at least 8 rounds.
    5) JuanMa needs to keep his gloves up.
    6) If JuanMa KO Mtagwa in the first round... (he knocked up a bum)
    7) No need for a re-match, JuanMa would make adjustments and kill him.
    8) Juanma can outbox an opponent.
    9) Noone expeted the brawl we witnessed and we should not complaint for a good fight that was worth the money. (for those that paid for the PPV)
    10) Every single boxing star had had a bad night, let's see if juanma learned from it.
    11) BoB Arum is **** if JuanMa doesn't fight Caballero next.
    12) Styles makes fights. Mathebula beated Caballero, got robbed. Mtagwa would had probably KO Caballero.
    13) Rojas and Luveano are top featherweights... would love to see them fight juanma and Gamboa. (I am not entirely sure, but I believe Rojas beated JuanMa as an amateur)
    14) Both Gamboa and Juanma better improve their defenses or else, they will be KO against better opponents.
    15) Mtagwa took JuanMa for twelve rounds, and that doesn't take value away from JuanMa, to the contrary, it shows that in boxing any given Saturday, you my win or lose fight. Juanma is not an exception.

Last but not least, 1,000,000 PPVs for a boring fight between the suppose best boxer in the world against a blown boxer who was two-to-three weight classes below couple of weeks ago. A fight that was boring with an expected outcome.

Tonight there were 7,000 people watching the streaming of this fight (over 1,000 from Puerto Rico)... this fight will have a very low number of PPVs... this fight was a war worth watching. Latin Fury PPVs suck and usually are joke, JuanMa and Mtagwa saved the night. As a boxing fan, I really enjoy Tonight's main event, and to say the contrary will be unrespectful to Boxing as a sport.

Agree with some of this. Mtagwa isn't this huge beast. He's been tko'ed by guys who really aren't that great and not long ago he lost to Billy Dib.
JuanMa is way too reckless considering his talent level. He just fights ****** sometimes, and he really doesn't have to at all with his skill. Mtagwa wanted it tonight, so props to him.

I liked the fight and it was a pleasent surprise but man, I didn't order it because of the match ups and I order just about everything.

Juanma really isn't what people said he was, that was clear as daylight today. it's not like Mtwanga was even a B level fighter.

Personally, I have never ever paid for a Latin Fury PPV. I don't understand how Arum expects people to buy his bull**** cards. My main goal was to watch my Gators beat LSU. I was surprised there were streamings available for the fight, as Arum has find a way to shut down streamings, so I watch it as I watch the football game.

I don't expect people to agree with everything I post, but I believe that everyone agrees in that JuanMa and Gamboa are the real deal, but they need to improve their defense, tight it up. They fight with too much confidence and keep their gloves down way to much.

Honestly, Gamboa has better defense, and seems more partient.

If you miss the fight, that's bad. I did not plan to watch it as I expected JuanMa to have an easy win, a-la-Floyd. Then again, I was lucky to find a good stream and I was very surprised to witness such a great brawl.

Did you lost faith on Paul Williams after Quintana shocked the boxing world? A bad night happens to everyone!

Gamboa needs to improve defense as bad as JuanMa needs it. So far, Gamboa has fought a bunch of "nobodies" and has been knockdown. Mainly due to his lack of guard and been cought off balance. I am not questioning Gamboa's skills and power... but imagine what would happen as soon as Gamboa faces a real thread. He may not stand up next time he goes down...
