Honestly, I think the most dangerous part for Canelo is if he has a fighter who listens and can execute a gameplan, it's that Munguia has Freddy Roach. Roach does well with offensive fighting machines and it must be nice for him to work with Munguia. I expect him to come up with some nutty gameplan to try and crack Canelo. Remains to be seen because I never thought Munguia was all that capable of being dynamic enough, but he can prove everyone wrong and this be his coming out party. It should be a very entertaining fight regardless.

One, he’s surprisingly difficult to hit clean, and two, he can take a heck of a punch and not be hurt. There are some fighters that just about can’t be knocked out by people in their weight class, and Alvarez seems to be one of those.

Munguia is of course the sentimental favorite for a huge swath of boxing fans. If he catches Alvarez with a clean, hard shot… well, nothing much will happen. This fight can also be an interesting one for the Mexican boxing fans and who they perceive is the truer Mexican based on their style. I can see Canelo playing the counter puncher and that is obviously not as exciting when people think of Mexican style which Munguia is all about.

Should Canelo win a decision based off mostly counter punching, I'm willing to bet, the crowd just might boo him and that is something that I believe Canelo was trying to avoid by not facing another Mexican. He doesn't want them to turn on him or jump ship to what they'll perceive as the truer Mexican solely based on Munguia's style.

Respectfully I'll tell you this: you can put your house on Canelo and you'll sleep like a baby. There is nothing, absolutely nothing Munguia could do to win this fight. It's pure fantasy and nothing more. It's a mismatch.

Hey man, it just might be. Nobody would say Munguia is on any technical level that Canelo is on. No even close. Though, Munguia has hunger about him and sometimes, that brings out a level not seen before in past performances. I know Roach isn't going to do much to improve Munguia's defense because Roach himself probably doesn't even care about that. Though if he can get Munguia placing his shots where he believes Canelo can be hit, that might make a difference.

Or Munguia just can't even take Canelo's punch and walks into a counter punch rd1, KO, lol. That honestly wouldn't surprise me either.
