Well, some people would tell you he WANTED to avenge the Bivol loss, but Bivol was just too difficult to negotiate with...so he had to fight 40 year old semi retired Golovkin at 168 instead.

This fight has action written all over it. It’s almost impossible for it to be boring.

Legacy pride all bs. they dont pay bills. Many boxers in past became homeless. Its business and about making enough money before you turn 35.

Bivol was hard to negotiate with? On what planet, man said I’ll come down to 168 beat you and take your straps and Canelo said “nope.” Let’s not rewrite history.

I can`t really blame Canelo for not taking public demands about Benavidez seriously.

2022, when he was scheduled to fight Bivol, public demand was the big Charlo.

When the big Charlo fight was rumored , not so long ago, all fans were like "what the f.uck, why would Canelo fight Charlo".

Casuals always demand something, who cares about their demands?

And it is not like Canelo -benavidez would actually be the biggest fight in boxing, lol. Benavidez is not even the world titlist.

It's not pointless. Keep the pressure up on him. This is what eventually caves in some fighters and they end up making the fight happen because they're sick and tired of hearing it. Granted, a lot of times this happens years and years after people wanted it to actually happen. Though that is boxing for you.

That is the part where boxing dropped the ball and Dana White picked it up to put the best up against the best consistently and you didn't have to wait years for the matchups to be made. It without a doubt helped MMAs popularity rise.
