Comments Thread For: Bill Haney Says Shakur Stevenson "Brings Nothing To The Table"

Shakur's biggest mistake was, is, and at this point forever will be that HE, not Haney, decided to refuse to take the undisputed fight last year. Say whatever he wants, the fact remains that he had the choice of becoming the undisputed which would've gotten him a significantly higher pay and many more opponents willing to face him. Call him an opportunist but in the end Haney jumped on the chance to get an easy undisputed status, while Shakur made short-sighted complaints and passed on the golden chance.
Shakur may have a high boxing IQ but he isn't smart in business.charliepaerker Gary Coleman like this.

The fact that he’s leaving Top Rank or supposedly , makes me wonder if that same promoter who’s gotten other fighters out of fighting for major titles is at fault here
Not hard to understand

There would be no running cause we all know that Haney won’t hurt Stevenson
I don't know how he was squeezing down to 135.
