You guys clearly weren't watching boxing the past 30 years.
Frank Warren was notorious for it in the early 2000s.

The standard model was to get one of his fighters a WBU title (occasionally a WBO) and then set up a string of defences against non-punchers.

It was never a good idea having a well educated man fronting for the US.

Lesson 101 - Never alienate your target audience.

          There's levels to this.

The article is about DAZN parting ways with the current CEO, but most comments are tribal snippets about promotional companies. Why is that? Perhaps it is because most folks, including many who regularly post on this and similar websites, don't give two figs about boxing itself, but only want to cheer members of their tribe and denigrate others. As long as the focus remains on a few mega-stars who make multi-millions and there are no venues to attract young people to the sport itself boxing will become a historical relic. Uncle Al, Uncle Bob, and Oscar are not going to save it.

White washing the Saudi’s horrible human rights record and treatment of women, is not sustainable. Force Hearn and Warren to actually Promote and use their own money will never happen if DAZN and Turkie keep enabling their lazy asses. Otherwise, fighters need to wake up and cut middlemen like Hearn and Warren because that’s all they really are.
Lets see how many fighters have got the smarts to book venues, arrange logistics, market an event, deal with tv executives - sheesh, get a clue
