Just like the Floyd/Baldomir fight?
True, but Lopez isn't claiming he's an ATG, or the GOAT or anything. Show humility and the fans will treat you with respect. They will give you the benefit of the doubt, and will definitely give you a pass. So, the situation is waaay different for both boxers...

what i noticed from this fight was how awful juanma's corner is. he could have had an easy fight by just jabbing alot more than he did, but fell into mtagwa trap by brawling with him & fighting mtagwa's fight.the problem when u fight a no name fighter is the pressure is on to win big & instead of letting the knockout come on its own u tend to force it more than usual. that & the fact that juanma knew that celestino was somewhere around ringside watching most likely contributed to him being forced to look good & brawl looking for the sensational KO. not once did i see juanmas corner getting at him for not using his jab which i think would have given him an easy fight from the outside. look we all know juanmas a very good skilled fighter with awsome power but truth be told he only has 26 fights & the mayority of those fights were just very short fights. so technically he really doesnt have that much experience where u would think that he has to look perfect all the time. there is still a learning curve even for young champions. this is just one of those fights that he can learn from & learn to stay disciplined in a good sound gameplan even when trying to look good. i had flash backs to cotto/torres in this one but my hats off to both fighters i figured it was gonna be a quick non interesting fight & it turned out to a very worthwhile fight to watch. & even though juanma looked bad at the end it was obvious he was comfortably ahead on all scorecards so i dont know what the 114-113 card judge was watching but im sure everyone like all the fight announcers can agree on this point unless u dont know anything about boxing,ur a mtagwas fan or from africa, or a juanma hater......but juanma really didnt look good in that 12th rd, he looked out on his feat...the most important thing in boxing is brains, cause knowone is superman & anyone can be beat....juanma will learn from this & be smarter & harder to beat.Last edited by CottoKOsPacman; 10-10-2009, 11:47 PM.
