This is absolutely correct. There are values and then there's something called "Mayweather rule" which is much more strict. Anyway great fight last night. I think Juanma will step back in competition and they will make him jump directly to the top in a few years to fight for tittles cashing out in this way
This is the usual formula for marketable guys who look vulnerable.

This should be a good learning experience for Juanma. And for all those talking ****, Juanma still beats Cab and that's all there is to it. Cab has a terrible technique and wide shots, which leaves him open for Juanma's shots. Also, there is no way Juanma would treat that fight like he did this one.

It's good anyways that he went thru this, it should b a wakeup call for him. He NEEDS the Cab fight now so I'll expect this but not for Jan, maybe March would be good for this fight but it WILL happen
A learning experience which came with a bonus permanent damage. Those chunks out of his armor will not comeback.
Boxing is like this son, it's not the fking movies. Every war you are in is one less war you CAN be in. I don't expect prospects who take this amount of damage to be fighting at the highest level in their 30's.

true, which is why I say that he needs a break and recover a bit. Even tho he got battered pretty bad, he will be able to recover for the most part. Now, if he goes in there with Cab on Jan he won't make it. I mean 4 times in '08 and 4 time in '09 is good and all but he needs a break. so he will be ok maybe coming back around March for that Cab fight

Its ironic that ppl now say juanMa was all hype.Do ppl not understand this is a well learned boxing expereince in disguise? Getting the "buzz" feeling and saying "never" mentally to a KO? It was the right test at an early stage of his career.

Look at cotto for instance. As he was rising in ranks he got rocked by ricardo torres.Refused to give up,and look at the position he's in now....FIGHTING THE P4P CHAMPION!.Paul williams got his "0" popped by quintana and where is he at now....fighting pavlik for a title shot and named "the most feared man in boxing!"

Fluke anyone? Every boxer has there off nights. It's like berto getting beaten by collazo but escaped with the win.Imagine him beating Mosley? What would ppl say?

Your just mad because there is nothing of significance to discuss about a Mexican fighter.

3, 4 plus he was also knocked down, if anything the 114-114 was the ridiculous card. I'll agree he looked like **** but he clearly won the fight.

I think the problem is that Lopez had already been built up into a future superstar and seeing him struggle with what was viewed as a clubfighter has let down a lot of people's expectations.

Lopez can surely come back from this, as Williams and Cotto did, but any aura of invincibility that he may have had has been shattered by this fight.

Another problem is that Bob Arum will likely avoid putting Lopez against any real threats in a long time. He won't develop his skills fighting the kind of people he has been fighting.

Juanma brawled instead of using his boxing skills.

You can't brawl with these crazy ass African boxers.
