This has been an issue for a long time in boxing, but I fail to see what Saudi money has to do with it. All the Saudi money has done is actually get us some fights we want to see.Comment

Every nation wants to be seen on the map. That’s why Saudi is pressing for these big events. They’re saying, “We’re here! We matter! We’re important enough to host worldwide events!” I’m a big chess aficionado; the Middle East has been turning to hosting big events in chess as well. That may sound funny to the uninitiated, but the game is huge around the world. These oil-rich nations are slowly but surely using their wealth to buy their way onto the world stage…in everything they can get their hands on.Comment

Yeah yeah Karl lets blame the Saudis, point the finger at the promoters. who chooses the opponents for you, when and where you're going fight, with a rematch clause + options on future fights and for how much he's going to get paid. I wonder if Karl ever visited Michael Watson, let alone made a small donation from his hard earned millions !Comment

FROCH fought for every penny as he should have. it's called prize fighting ! thank god for the SAUDIs making these fighters rich so that they can save for their retirement if they so desire !Comment

Have a thought for us in the UK, who had to stay up at ****** o'clock to see our guys fight in the states!Comment

The exaggerated amount that the Saudis are paying are making fights possible. But it will bottle up other fighters in the future in taking big challenges standing by the Saudis to open their wallets.Comment
