Ridiculous.
3 judges often can't do the right thing, you can decide of its corruption or incompetence.
I don't see how adding 3 more into the equation is helpful.
Fury will stop him anyway.Comment

That would give licence to even more corrupt judgingOriginally posted by LiondwSilly to have six judges. Have them sit with a tablet device or monitor to see at times they can't see action directly.
Tweak the scoring system too, as it's bad to see a 10-9 scored whether the boxer won the round by one jab, or hurt the opponent but did not score a knockdown.
How to do that exactly with the numbers, that's tricky.
They're already giving rounds to fighters they didn't win. Now imagine they start awarding 10-8 rounds all through the fight in rounds that weren't as dominant as the judges mark down. It would put the opponent in a much bigger hole on points in the fight.
It would be getting abused by judges to ensure the A side wins.Comment

They don't need 6 judges. They need to INTERVIEW the judges immediately post fight to get their take as to why they gave the score that they did. Put them on blast if they put out a ridiculous score. Let's hear wtf they were watching and how come nobody else saw what they saw. I'm sure if you put them on blast on tv, in front of the camera and they had to spill out their nonsense, you either A. Never have them come back to judge, or B. To prevent themselves from being embarrassed, they score fights properly.Comment

There is a reason in his words. We have seen enough weird or preposterous judges (and referees) in the last few years. So introducing an additional one or a few more isn't necessarily a bad idea. It doesn't guarantee we won't see some crap again but will be interesting to see more opinions at least and corrupting more judges is more expensive and complicated. Such a decision isn't more ****** than the rule for judges of the World Boxing Super Series and the judging method there: have a fourth judge and if there is no winner even after the fourth judge's decision - the countback method.Comment

Organization like his is what’s killing boxing. Stop protecting your favorite fighters and have champions fight their mandatories. If you really want to save boxing, quit the favoritism BS. As far as judges, why six? If you want to expand the judges, use five. Less chance of a draw. Come on man!Comment
